The Coffer Dam that diverted water around the Diversion Structure area while work on the structure was completed, was removed the week of August 15. The video above shows crews removing the gravel and clearing the channel, allowing water to fill the area and go through the diversion structure. Work on the control building above the diversion structure continues. As of today, Monday, August 22, all but the final piece of penstock pipe has been installed. Demobilization of the upper laydown area has began. Soon, every aspect of the project will be tested and then the commissioning process will begin. Currently the project remains on track to begin commercial power genreration in October 2016.
